Chelsea Diagnostic Radiology (CDR) has been a leader in providing a wide range of comprehensive diagnostic imaging services in a private practice setting including Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Angiography, Computed Tomography, Mammography, Ultrasonography, Bone Densitometry (DEXA) and X-Ray. With a constant client load CDR finally had to prioritize the importance of having the most modern technology, and retained Crown to oversee the design and implementation of a full update to their imaging equipment.

A phased project, Crown had to coordinate the demolition and shoring of removing he old equipment, equipment placement to avoid nuclear materials remaining at a certain distance, and the installation of a new MRI machine, Nuclear Camera, and a PET CT Scanner with a full build out of supporting spaces including waiting rooms, nurse’s stations, hot labs, full equipment rooms, control areas, and new bathroom facilities within the two story 5,500 sq ft space. The scope also included Mechanical, Electrical, Sprinkler, and Plumbing work to support the new medical scanning and imaging machines in the existing spaces.
Crown ensured the facilities have remained opened during the phased construction.
